This, and also a stupid suggestion but one worth trying - perhaps set them back to not active, code it, start the car perhaps. Then code it again and save.

Another stupid suggestion, you are doing the backdoor shuffle properly? It takes a swift kicking motion under the center of the boot area to activate. Good luck!
