I think the 265's, could even depend on brand/model, cut it really close to the inner suspension parts. So a spacer or different wheel with more aggressive offset would solve this.
Indeed if rubbing in a different area is the issue, it could become worse with spacers.

I still think the inner clearance is the issue…
