Update – Round 4 Data

Fuel this time out was 10 gal Shell 93 Octane, 32 oz race gas concentrate, and 5 gal Sunoco 260 GT (100 Octane), or ~100 octane. DA was abt +2000ft with temps in the mid-80s. I was hoping to get a number of runs in so I could try incrementally lowering tire psi, but with a number of mechanical failures the track was often in delay mode as they cleaned spills. After a 2-1/2 hour delay there was some hope but after just two more groups went off another spill happened so the night was cancelled.

I was able to get three runs in before the shutdown, but these were at the initial higher tire psi values. And my first run was with wet tires as I had to drive through water flowing downgrade from Lane 1’s water box, so I’m discounting that 0-60’.

Despite the higher DA than my previous times at GNV, the pulls felt really strong and two of the runs beat my previous personal best of 11.671s back in Feb 2020 -11.640s and 11.659s. I was really hoping to get at least one more run if they could get the track cleaned as the temps cooled into the mid-70s after sunset. I had already set my tires to 33F/36R, and my next was to be at 33F/34R, and I really think one of those could’ve been sub 11.6s but it wasn’t meant to be.
