Hello all
Again I ask the question:
“ Does BMW read these posts? Have they ever advised their dealers on a fix for this?”
It doesn’t appear to be a hardware problem, it appears to be a software issue. A few lines of new code or revision that essentially say “when vehicle is in park and turned off followed by opening of drivers door all lights (headlights, parking, dash, interior, etc) shall turn off.
None of us is a software engineer, we are simple customers that have enough money to buy a fine automobile. Surely there’s a better answer then standup, sit down, turn yourself around then turn the radio off!!!
Why did we buy a BMW? I suspect it was because we previously owned a fine BMW or a friend has had one for years and loved it. Did the lights on your last BMW turn off after you parked it? If they didn’t you would not have bought this one!
BMW should software engineers
