I have been reading comments here and there suggesting dealers in my area (Seattle) can be difficult to work with on price. If I were to get a much better price out of state, how would that work for registration, etc.?

Ideally it would be close enough for me to fly there and drive home but I might have to ship it, which could also impact the process?

Any tips?
The out of state dealer should be able to process your state's registration. They usually contract it through third parties, but it works similar to you registering in your own state except may be a tad longer.
Expect to do some work though in the form of VIN verification etc., that may require you to take your vehicle to DMV depending on your state's laws and mailing the paperwork back for registration to process.

If you are shipping it from the dealer, expect anywhere between $500 to $1500 depending on distance, for an open trailer. Covered trailers usually cost a bit more.

Hope this helps.
