That’s why the different systems function differently with the ASD unit. The non-HK and ASD are totally entwined. That’s why you can’t just unplug the ASD.
The HK and ASD are parallel and both connect to the speakers. Removing the ASD from the HK system, since the HK can standalone, continues to use all the speakers. That’s my take.
Also, speakers aren’t powered by a fuse. They are powered by the amplifier.
When someone with the HK system removes the fuse they can provide confirmation.

I only removed F218 and yes it works well! I tried both with and without. I see a good difference. This solved the pain of removing the connector. I have Harmon system/ X3 M40i 2019. Thanks a bunch for this very useful thread
