Well, I've heard many stories of car buyers outside of US pay 1.5X - 3X the price we pay here for the same car, mainly due to various sales tax, gas guzzler tax, excise tax, plus numerous whatever fees... Same goes for gasoline/petrol prices... owning a car is truly a luxury in those places.
