According to my research online I found out that BMW officially will not allow you to put on snowchains on wheels > 19". It probably has to with the space inside the wheel arch which becomes more narrow with bigger wheels.
However chains which are only 'external' like König K-SUMMIT XL K56 (
https://konigchain.com/chains/consum...-k-summit.html) are possible to be used. But BMW will not give any guarantees in case anything breaks but I guess for me I would take the risk. The very few times that I will use these things it will be for a short and slow drive so I don't expect things to break.
