I disagree strongly with the above.....men and woman are to a significant degree socialized to adopt certain values.....and usually lack of morals
These are largely learned behaviors.
I've done a bit of travelling/moving about the US and women on each of our coasts tend to be a LOT more materialistic/selfish than those that grew up in other parts of the US
Most of the swedish and dutch woman I've known were no where near as materialistic as american woman are.
