Thanks - you're using the same method as me but when I installed Lollipop I lost the audio output (even though the player displayed the audio metadata, moving progress/tracking bar etc).

Lollipop on the S5 purportedly supported direct USB access to media i.e. there would be no need to have the Connected app installed but for some reason I can't get this to work and it's an inferior experience to having an iPhone (I hate Apple with a passion but have to confess that the stuff just works whereas on Android there's always a lot of dicking around first).

I'll try another Lollipop upgrade and the latest car firmware + Connected app. If that doesn't work maybe I'll revert to the darkside and get another iPhone.

I should also say thanks for all the other notes although I was aware of this. Calendar is useful and fills a gap on the iPhone experience (which still can't even display SMS/iMessage or even email). I'm quite glad the Facebook app is gone because it was just a distraction. I'm also aware that the Connected app downloads the latest car stats to the phone at the end of each session e.g. fuel, expected range etc.
