It's a bit overwhelming but I will reserve judgement until I see more pics.

Please tell me they made the exhaust tips real this time...

Looks good from the back, interior doesn't look as expensive as the car will surely be

And it's missing a third pedal

No apologies necessary! I'm glad that this is a polarizing design. It's the kind of stuff that attracted me to the BMW brand back in the early 2000s. I think that the F32/82 Ms are classier without a doubt, but I'm just tired of the conservative design direction. We benefit as consumers in the end run.

I'm not keeping my hopes up, but at this point I don't really care either. I can probably count on one hand the number of OEMs that don't resort to this trick on at least one or more models. I think the arrangement made the IS-F stand out which resulted in it being isolated and put on blast more than most others (like the R8 and 430 Scuderia, amongst a million others).

I'm sure it will lack a manual option. I bet they wouldn't sell more than a few if it was on offer so I don't blame them. Lexus != row-your-own to most people.

Most of it I really like, interior looks pretty nice. Exterior looks aggressive. Lexus seems to continue moving forward from their predecessors.

The question is, how much would you be willing to pay for this car?

I think the IS-F has a hard time against the M3 and I believe this car will be closer to the 6-figure range which will put it squarely in GT-R and Porsche territory. Pricing will ultimately determine the fate of this vehicle.

No way it will be near 6-figure range. That would be nuts. No one will buy one.

I don't like it at all. Side profile looks like a Hyundai, and that "line" on the rear bumper looks out of place IMHO.

No confirmed price yet.

But at $100,000k, this car has stiff competition.

At the M3 price, it looks competitive on paper.

This is a great question, but where are we getting this pricing info from? The current IS-F's MSRP is in the low to mid-60s, and a top of the line packaged model comes in at $68k. I can't see this inflating more than $10-12k model-to-model, so my uneducated guess would put this in the mid to high $70k range. If it's good around the corners and packs a solid powertrain and drivetrain, then holy hell what a deal.

Edit: I'll eat my shoe if this thing has a starting MSRP above $80k.

That's why I love this thing. It's like someone sketched out an aggressive concept, placed aggressive lines and plotted out the overall elements, then molded them into something that heavily relies on implied lines. It flows, but the connections are less forced and obvious than your typical sports coupe. I think it's a massive success, and I usually never say something like that about a (polarizing) modern car unveiling until I see one in person.

I don't see any connection to Hyundai's design language, aside from some basic trending placement of lines. The execution is entirely different.

Right!? I'm so glad that they stepped out of the carbon-copy world.
