What is this warning light mean? - XBimmers

I don't have a picture but I'll describe it. It popped up when I was driving on the highway and/or stuck in traffic at a standstill. It came on for a while and then off. Finally it stayed off. No apparent troubles though. It is a yellow diamond showing 2 superimposed cars (slightly offset from each other) from the front view. Any ideas? I searched the forums but can't seem to locate an answer. Thanks.

It's the traffic report showing that there is traffic at a standstill.

so that may partially explain why I saw that symbol on my route on the map in the Nav. what about when it shows a single car in the yellow diamond instead of 2 cars? Does that mean traffic is crawling? I ran into multiple instances where I was at a standstill along the route and also where I was just crawling. why does it come on and go off periodically instead of just staying on?

The more car in the diamond the heavier the traffic I believe.

What I got concerned about in the first place was the warning diamond appeared where my messages are displayed in the instrument cluster below and to the right of the speedo. And I didn't notice it in the map view in the Nav until later. I thought it might have been a check engine light that was intermittent and being stuck in a traffic jam didn't make me feel too good with that light on. Thanks for the info.
