The wife and I ordered a new 2013 X3 35i last weekend and hope to have it in hand next Saturday (per the BMW website tracking its ready for transport).

The details:

Black Sapphire Metallic
Black 'Neveda' Leather
Fine Line Wave Wood Trim

Premium Package
Sport Activity Package
Technology Package
Cold Weather Package (I & II)
BMW Apps
Maintenance Warranty upgraded to 6 years/100,000 miles (we're going to keep her for a while)

Between the wife and I this is our 5th BMW. The wife's ride will be the X3 (moving from a 2009 335i xDrive) and I drive a 2005 E46 M3. Personally I was hoping the wife would go for the upgraded audio and M Sport package, but she had the final word .

(I'm already looking to add the rear fog lamp switch and do a little coding).


Thanks to the forum for the wealth of knowledge that helped make our decision easy. Looking forward to becoming a contributing member and will post some pictures once we take delivery.

You're going to love it. I had opportunity to drive mine through the Blizzards of the Cascades yesterday and it performed great without slip with only my RFT.

Wow, that's fast, I ordered mine that Monday and still don't even have a production number.

This will blow you away as it did me...... the new X3 arrived at the dealership this evening (10 days from order to delivery) . Our Salesman stated the quickest delivery he had seen before was 10 days as well. We're floored that our new X3 went from a pile of parts to an assembled and delivered BMW in only 10 days.

Due to work commitments we can't pick her up until Saturday , but we'll be there the minute the dealership opens this weekend.

I had our guy take a phone picture and forward it on. It looks like all the snow we received here in Chicago melted on her once it was moved indoors. I'll post some much better pictures once we take delivery and I properly clean it and hand wash with ONR (our Salesman knows I'm a weekend warrior detailer) . I just love the "Sold" sticker hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Congrats on the delivery! Any reason why you didn't go with the M package? We're considering the X3 as well but with the M sports package with Dynamic Handling. Just curious if you opted out of those in favor of the CW-I/II because of any environmental/drive factors.

The reason "we" opted out of the M Sport package.....interesting story here. We test drove a X3 that had the M Sport package and I was ready to pull the trigger on the one we test drove, I loved it. The wife on the other hand....well...."the steering wheel is too thick, it's going to hurt my hands after driving for awhile". Yep, that's the reason, nothing to do with the all the other upgrades that come with the M Sport package, it was the steering wheel (which I absolutely LOVED). It is going to be my wife's car so I want her to be happy and have what she wants....though it was painful giving up the M Sport package from my end .
