Minor steering resistance/discrete steps at high-speed in 2012 X3
When driving 65-90 mph on long trips I've noticed that with both my hands on the wheel the normal minor feedback I provide the steering wheel seems to meet resistance and be meted out in discrete jumps of a degree or two of the steering wheel instead of a more continuous steering input.
This is on a 2012 X3 28i, well equipped but without the dynamic handling / variable sport steering which would obviously affect steering. I haven't noticed this on my other cars (including other bmws). Any thoughts on what causes this? - Murray |
