My AW X3 28i M-Sport - XBimmers

My wife was looking to replace her A3 and get into an X3...and Sterling BMW in Newport Beach just happened to have this rare 28i M-Sport in stock so we couldn't pass it up. Picked it up today. Now my M has company.

Thanks Yeltzer...haven't taken any interior pics and I'm out of town for the next couple days, but will try to post some later this week.

Yeah...was pretty lucky. Searched most of SoCal and couldn't find many M-Sports...let alone a 28i M-Sport.

I was partial to the 35i at first (I like the extra power), but my wife didn't care and she preferred the lower price tag and slightly better fuel economy of the 28i.

Did you choose the color of your grill?
There's a thread started on this topic (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=619068) but no one seems to be sure which models get which color.

I didn't choose the color of my grills. My 28i is a 2013 model and it came that way. All the 35i's come with the the titanium/silver grills.

I would, however, like to change to a set of BMW performance grills (gloss black) once they come out with them. Although they are already black, I don't like the chrome surrounds.

Thanks...we love the car. The 28i has sufficient power, back seats are roomy and it comes in handy when we need to haul cargo.

I got X3 35i M Sport and E46 M3.

I see that they use 35i M sport wheels on the 28i M Sport now... before they were different for 2011 models. Or was that an option?
