Display colours - XBimmers

I noticed the dash display (clock/temp etc.) messages changed from white text to red/orange text then back to white this morning (non-nav type dash) - I think it was because it was dark (having just gone through some deep shadows).

As I can't see anything in manual (though may be blind

), Anyone know more?

assuming you have xenons yes white display shows only if its daytime, lights happen to go on if position on auto, as it gets darker white display turns orange

You don't need Xenons for this functionality, I believe all models have it.
