Window Tapping - Consensus - XBimmers

I see mention of this in various threads, and I've encountered this same issue with both of my previous BMWs (both E90s), but what is the consensus on the best way to cure the window tapping/rattling on washboard surfaces, bumps, expansion joints, etc?

Light noise, but right in my ear. Dealer keeps cleaning the seals which works for a few days, if that. Is Gummipfledge still the answer?

In my Honda days this noise was a common beef...

I'm sure it would work on a Bimmer.
