No. Look in your HU_CHAMP instead of your HU_CIC. You will find many if not most of the same FDL Codes. For CMB_MEDIA, you are only missing Ringtone Transfer.

New models have some changes and regrouping of features. Don't worry, explore them in new modules as suggested by Shawn, you should be able to get most of them and you can then help members who get new models. It's all collaborative effort, some one helps you and you help others.

I'm positive you will succeed with little efforts.

Did a lot of coding on my new X3. I coded all of the features listed in previous posts and added media data, incoming call data, and previous phone numbers in the HUD. See the other thread entitled "wish list" for the lines.

You guys were right. Most of the stuff was in the HU_CHAMP. Only thing i can't find is the FEM Body so i can enable the auto stop to last default .

But in my adventures I was able to activate bluetooth audio in my car that doesn't have the option. It comes up with bluetooth audio in the media player but I still can't get it to play music.





I did manage to have the car pay my phones ringtone over the loud speaker when I receive a call tho!

Look in CAS for MSA (ASS) coding.

TC_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF = aktiv - Turn Auto Start/Stop OFF by default

TC_MSA_MEMORY = aktiv - Sets car's Auto Start/Stop function to start in the last used setting (e.g. Off) when the engine is started

I take it you have 6NH Handsfree with USB interface?

Yes but I did not choose the BMW assist with Enhanced bluetooth option. So I am trying to see if I can get the enhanced bluetooth option via coding. I unlocked all the menus for it and such so its a start. And when someone calls me now my phone ring tone transfers to the car and that is a AD2P feature so the car must be capable of handling music AD2P

What I would do is replace 6NH in your VO with 6NK, and then VO code HU_CHAMP.

When you FDL Code as you have already done, you change individual parameters.

When you VO Code, you apply the option codes specified in your Vehicle Order to the entire ECU, letting it make all the required FDL Code changes for you.

Thus by modifying your Vehicle Order (VO) to make it seem as if the car has factory 6NK, and then VO Coding HU_CHAMP, it will code everything needed for 6NK in the Head Unit all at once. If the hardware supports it, then BT Audio Streaming should then work.

I figured out how to change the VO from 6NH to 6NK but audio still isn't avaiable as an option when I program my phone. I know there has to be a way out there and I will figure it out!! (Hopefully)

What did you do after you changed VO?

Well I read in the vehicle FA on the top left and then I saved it which allows for editing. I changed 6NH to 6NK then clicked on save and load back for coding. Then I went and confirmed the change on the top right hand side, under the "options" drop down and sure enough it changed from 6NH to 6NK and stated enhanced bluetooth blah blah blah.

I then went into HU_CHAMP, and coded the car.

All the menu's for the bluetooth audio are still there. Only thing missing is the actually check box under bluetooth options to allow my phone to do audio and telephone. As of now it only comes up as telephone.

Ok I tried that and coding processed failed writing to the SWL. It coded the CAFD files but it must of messed up somewhere else. My usb stopped working and so did my bluetooth. I had to load up my factory FA with 6NH instead of 6NK and code that back and everything went back to normal.

in other words. It didn't work and now I am losing hope lol
