Are you guys insane? Ford 2012 GT500 is a beast. I just ran my buddies in my M3 he has a tune and pulley pushing 600whp. He spanked my ass bad no matter if it was a roll, dig or anything at that... He also gave me 8 cars from a dig and still beat me.

My personal opinion is that the "horsepower wars" have gotten ridiculous. A 550 HP Shelby.. a ZL1 Camaro with 580 HP, then a new Shelby with 650 HP, then more Shelby's with 950 and 1100 HP.. Where will it end? Stock 335i models with 300 HP is already more power than almost anyone needs. In 'Murrica, we're addicted to horsepower, and I am guilty as well. That said, Mustangs have always been my favorite muscle car by far. Lighter, and relatively small compared to the competition, good handling, looks good (the recent facelifts are questionable though). Blows anything by Dodge and Chevy out of the water. Congrats on the purchase. It's a great car! I hope it doesn't become stuck being a 550 HP daily driver, that would be a waste. Though it may not be as comfy and nice as a BMW, it's definitely an upgrade in terms of performance.

Ignorance AGAIN. You can get the OP's Shelby for under $30k, a 2013 will be north of $70k if it goes anything like it always does with Ford dealers.
