Angry Eyes - XBimmers

I was driving down my street yesterday morning and passed a black X5 with red halo lights that was headed the opposite direction. He was checking out my car and I must have had a WTF expression on my face. He looked like a normal business guy in a suit. I was wondering why you would do something like that to an otherwise ordinary X5. How is something like that even legal for the street?

Only emergency vehicles can do that. However, I've seen something like that in person on a 5series and it looks sick as f*ck...

Those should be marketed as 420 eyes.

I have wanted to do the red rings for years... but it is in fact, illegal. No need to give them a reason for pulling you over.

Not to mention the fines you would constantly have to pay.

i have seen a couple of Bimmers with this mod however... a white 335i a couple years ago and more recently a silver 6-series.

i like this touch a lot but I'm not brave enough.. or rich enough to pay out just have that cool look, lol

Happened too quick for any pics. I think it was this kit or something very similar to it. They were bright red and definitely not amber.

Umnitza sells Color changing Angel eyes. You can switch it to whatever color you want with a toggle switch

This is an excellent find for those of us who wanted to do this mod but didn't want to get harrassed for it. Thanks.

That looks exactly like the white 335i I saw with the red halos. Not sure if the owner of this car is a forum member but I remember talking to him right off of Queens Blvd in Queens, NY.

If you are reading this, I'm the guy in the black X6 who asked you about the red halos.

i actually stopped the guy to give him kudos for it because i have wanted to do the same thing for a while but don't like to get pulled over... especially for something like that.

I just looked at the pictures a bit below on that page and while I first had mixed feelings about it, I can now clearly say I don't like it one bit :/
