The name "Counter-Strike: Global Offensive" has popped up a number of times over the past few days. Could a new entry in the successful multiplayer franchise be on the way? The answer, it turns out, is "yes."

Is anyone still playng CS:S? Just picked it up again recently and I'm rusty as hell but it'd be pretty fun to play with some forum members

I did the same thing, I installed it not too long ago. Got smoked so bad. I'm hoping this will be good tho!

Managed to get a betakey for it.

Fairly disappointing but I'm not surprised as they really haven't cared for the franchise for a long time. Having played both it seems like Dota2 is their favoured project.

Wow! I havn't played CS since the beta's back in 99-00' What a great multiplayer FPS that set the mark for it's predecessors. I would buy a new one if it came out.
