How to view map in 3D in iDrive - XBimmers

I can find the option of Perspective view in 3D. But even if I turn it on, I cannot view my map in 3D. Anyone has tried and been successful?

There are some buildings in montreal that shows in 3D.

My guess is The city your are in has to be programmed as 3D to appear that way.

I believe jlr is correct, certain locations pop up in 3D, for example the City of Chicago is awesome!

NYC also comes up but I find it a bit clutterd to look at, I'll have to play with the scale I guess
