Transmission maker - XBimmers

The x3 is on the list of my wife's new car and just wanted to ask is the maker of the 28i or 35i transmission gm or aisin or zf

I think it's zf if I remember correctly. Not sure though.

Yeah the 8 speed is from ZF, it's BMW debut was in the 7 series back in 2009.

So same as my 7 I think but I asked because my first bimmer a 325i with auto had a gm trAnny and broke at 87k

AFAIK the 7 is still a 6 speed. F10 5 series has the 8 spd though.
