Ordered Mine Yesterday
Hello all,
I'm bringing back my X5 this week and I ordered a new X3 yesterday. I have several questions, if anyone could give me any insights: x3, 2.8 White/Black Cold Weather, Convenience, Premium, Nav, Satellite 1) I am not sure which trim to pick. I never liked any of the woods. This is my 5th BMW and aluminum is finally available for me. So, which should I pick with the black leather, brushed or matte? All the dealer's cars had wood. I could not see either aluminums in person. Can you guys please post some brushed and matte photos? 2) I use an iphone 4, but I don't care about twitter, facebook or Pandora. Does it pay to take the BMW Apps "just in case" they come out with something cool, like maybe remote start from an iphone? 3) What is the status of iphone office functionality and bluetooth streaming title info integration? Do you guys think this will happen? Thank you all for your help. |

Can't help you with iPhone, but this thread has a picture of the interior.

Brushed Al is the pick of the bunch. Have it on my 135 and have it ordered again on the X3.

BMW apps (6NR) 100% yes. The key here being that "they" aren't BMW. 6NR opens up possibilities for people that know how to write good software to get involved. I wouldn't hesitate as it has huge potential.
iPhone Office. No news that I know of but if it doesn't get added on the next version of the iPhone, assume you won't see it for the foreseeable future. Loads of pics of alu trim on picture threads but you need a close up to see it against the silver. Lots of people say the silver looks cheap and I would get the alu personally (I haven't actually seen the silver but I have alu and im very happy with it)

Thank you all for your input. Here is the way I ordered the car:
White/Black/Brushed Alum Cold Weather, Convenience, Premium, Technology, BMW Apps, Sat Radio, Auto High Beams. The dealer told me not to expect the car before the end of July. I returned my X5 yesterday. Gonna be taking the subway all summer. I can smell the pee now... |
