I placed my order for xDrive28i on 3/26 (Black Sapphire Metallic, Sand Beige Nevada Leather, Premium Package, Technology Package, Heated front seats, Heated Steering Wheel, Xenon headlights).

I have a production number. When I track my account in bmw, it says on order. Yesterday I called the bmw customer service. Per their record my order is under production since 4/8 but did not give any information on how long it may take for the production to finish. He asked me to contact my CA for further details.

Does anyone have any idea how long it takes?

From the 2nd step "start of production" to the 3rd step it takes roughly a week, week and a half then perhaps another week or two for delivery if nothing goes wrong.

I ordered on March 2nd with April 4th production date. Got a call from the dealer last Monday, April 18th that my X3 will be ready for pick-up tomorrow. I was told that production would normally take two days + about 2 to 21/2transportation to the dealership.....

Thanks! it would approximately take 3 weeks from start of production to finish. do you have any idea how log it would take to see the production video

For me the production video on the BMW site showed up 2-3 days after the toll-free number said the car was finished.

Had the same question early last week. Mine went to start of production Tuesday last week. Car was completed Monday or Tuesday this week. Video was on email this am. Car jumped to en route/prep this afternoon. East coast delivery seems to be very quick. Understandable.

April 9th. Lucked out, dealer just happen to have a couple slots available he could switch out for my order.

I noticed the 1800 number often times was a couple days ahead of the website. Might be worth calling that to see if you have a more current status.

For my situation, when I entered the production number on the website it never updated, I re-registered with the vin and it was kept up to date (except for a couple days behind).

Not sure if that is common or I got lucky, but once I switched to e vin I got my video.

I placed my order on 03-26-11 in Las Vegas. It arrived at the dealership 04-21-11, and I picked it up 04-23-11. I did not get the technology package or the Xenon headlights. It could be where you ordered it from or the extra options that are making the difference. I am not sure. My car was built really fast but spent almost three weeks in VPC status.
