Not sure who makes the speakers, I think I saw in another thread that it might be unlabeled Harman Kardon speakers.
X3 Premium Audio: 16 Speakers - 7 Mids - 7 Highs - 2 Subs, 1 under each front seat 600 Watts 9 Channels 5.1 Surround Sound Pretty decent upgrade for $875, even more so if you're not into aftermarket installs. |

In the US, the premium sound system is the "Logic 7 Premium Sound System". Logic 7 is a proprietary digital sound processing technology developed by Harman International or a division of theirs. Harman International owns many well known audio companies such as Harman Kardon and Becker. A couple of years ago a BMW CA told me that all BMW radios were made by Harman. Probably due to a possible relationship with Becker from past years. This leads me to believe that the audio system is made by Harman International, Division?. Where does Dirac come in? Not in the physical audio system itself, but in testing and manipulating the signal before it's amplified. I've got to take off now, but I'll try to give a longer explanation later. |
