Australian Delivery Times
Hi all, I am waiting for my lease company to confirm my order has been placed but was hoping someone could provide any timeframes for recent Aus orders please?
Dealer told me 3-4 months an the lease company said the same but am nervous hearing other peoples delays. |

Mine was ordered 2 weeks ago. Delivery early July, but I don't know if that's because I ordered with the m sport package (which I understand isn't meant to be available in aus until the middle of the year).

So I've missed May production but have a slot in June for delivery early August. From what the lease company are being told BMW only gets a shipment in to Melbourne once a month. They are ringing around other dealers to see if they can get me a May production slot if anyone has one spare.
The earliest I can take delivery is early July as that is when my current lease expires so not too unhappy with August. ![]() Going to be a looong 4 months though. ![]() |

I got my BMW confirmation of build 1st April.....(not an april fool)
![]() There was a limited number of vehicles which were able to start the production before the tailgate delay issue. Unless you got a confirmation of build, all other 30d's will be facing a 4-6 weeks delay due to shortage of components for the automatic tailgate. Shortage caused by Japan.... |

That's the hardest part. I have a May production but the week hasn't been confirmed yet. But I was told July delivery for Vermillion Red/Oyster 3.0d. Down sizing from an 2006 E53 X5 3.0d. This is my wife's car.

You might find this an interesting read. I still believe petrol outsells diesel generally, with BMW being the first passenger car company in australia to sell more diesel than petrol. I would say the popularity of diesel in the x range has impacted this.

Hi Tsambi,
Mine IS on the same ship - the Oberon. 30D M-Sport, Build week 18. ETA Brisbane 9th June. So perhaps an earlier delivery than mid-July quoted by the dealer. If so, excellent. Last edited by malfunction99; 05-12-2011 at 09:24 PM. Reason: face palm... |

You would hope that they can get it from the boat to a dealership in the same town in less than a month......?
Good stuff though guys. I'm waiting for confirmation of production date which is somewhere in July. Will be a long wait! |

It was confirmed that mine is a week 20 build and expecting mid July. In the meantime I have to try and sell my 2006 E53 X5 3.0d with only 60k km.
