Afraid all the excitement's gone for me at the mo and I'm concentrating on life's more exciting things. I recommend snowboarding in France as a suitable distraction ... although the "when will it snow" angst is as bad as "when will the X3 arrive".

On the car front my bigger concern is that my A5 goes back in a few weeks and the X3 doesn't arrive until October (at the earliest) and I'm dreading finding out what I'm going to be offered in the interim. Suspect it will be some base spec, small diesel saloon. Then again having spent a few months in something like a 1.9d Passat the X3 will feel like much more of a premium car compared to swapping over directly from the A5 (which really is rather nice even as it reaches 3 years old).

Just been to Germany for 2 days with 4 hours spent on the motorway, mainly in slow traffic - still did not see any new X3's............... but appreciated the billard table like road surfaces.
