Just got home from Spartanburg

Three words. OH. MY. GOD! that's all I can say. The whole experience is amazing. From the time they pick you up a the airport in an X5 til the ending it was all first class. The "hot lap" in the M5 was RIDICULOUSLY awesome. Those of you that have gone know exactly what I am experiencing right now. Those of you contemplating PCD at Spartanburg seriously do it if you can. When I walked in the lobby, there was my x3. Right in the main lobby. After a few crazy laps around the wet circle 2 360's later, a few runs through the slalom course and then standing on the breaks at 55 mph through a power turn, I finally got back to my vehicle. Sapphire metallic black x3 with the dark wave wood and the Mojave leather. YES!!!!! After seeing a few pics of the Mojave I was concerned with my choices, but the flash really does play with it a lot. It looked so much like I had hoped in person. I have ZERO regrets with the color. Donnie Isley was great. Went through the whole car with me. Set the options up, driver preferences, paired the phone. Everything. you have to try it if you can. After lunch was the Crazy hot lap, off road course with moguls and crazy conditions, and then wrap it up with a factory tour. Oh. On the way home, 80% highway miles averaged 22.9 mpg on the 28i.

PCD?

So if you order an x3, you can go on their test track free of charge as opposed to the $600/session price tag?

Great meeting you there. We had a blast also - what an experience. It far exceeded our expectations. Love your color combo, the Mohave looks great in person!

Correct. PCD. Performance center delivery. If you do it, they will put you up at the Greenville Marriott the night before your actual delivery. Cover our dinner and complimentary drinks. Breakfast the next morning then shuttle you over to the performance center. We arrived there at 8 am and we were done with everything around 3 or 330. Full day experience. Highly recommend it. Have your CA set it up for you when up buy. Word of caution. Since you are so close it could delay when you can get your car by a couple weeks since they can only do 8 performance deliveries a day. It was TOTALLY worth the extra week it delayed mine. Even my wife had a blast on the course spinning cars in 360's

James, it was great meeting you and your wife as well. Sorry I didn't get a chance to check yours out. Hope everything was perfect with it. It was more than I expected too.

I did performance center delivery (PCD) two weeks ago - it rocked! not sure you get the full time on the track as if you signed up for a full course. you get about two hours - four exercises: skip pad, slalom, anti-lock brake, then a drive through the off-road course - they let you trade off half way through each exercise so both my wife and I got to experience it - plus a two hour factory tour and a two hour intro to your car. really incredible day

Very envious of this setup. What a way to pick up your new X3

Congratulations both. Enjoy!

Envious of US bimmer owners. Wish we had a similar option or may be a spin around Silverstone in a M5

On a serious note the Mojave interior looks a lot like the Havanna one over here in UK...me choose same..good taste

If doing PCD, do one still need to pay destination charge?

So, like me, the dealer didn't advise you of this option?

Same exterior combo as my order black/xline looks smart

Brown seats look a lot better in your pics than previous posts
