Last night I recieved my X3 Production Video [details], its in My BMW in the Digital Library , it shows clips of my car being made very COOL

shows how the car gets married engine and body .

anyone notice some portion of the video stated "Live Camera Temporarily Not Available" ? Also, they showed X3 in dark blue color instead of Silver. So, they don't have all the footage for his/her X3.

Can't wait to see my video. Awesome video.

Interesting concept. I wonder if BMW is going altogether to a made to order system with lean dealer inventories. It's almost that way now on just about anything but the 328i.

Interesting concept... still a bit buggy? Why was your car deep sea blue when the windshield was installed but then turned silver when it finished?

I noticed the same thing. There was a message stating "Live video unavailable" or something to that effect during those steps in the installation process.

Very cool feature!

Great idea this. I think ultimately, when they get everything working, you'll see more of your own car being built rather than the random deep sea blue one! I say you because I doubt we'll get this feature for UK orders for a long time.

I think they only show the automated parts because those are easiest to film, and they don't want to have to screen every single live segment before sending it out to the customer for workers doing inappropriate actions (jokingly flipping the bird to a friend, etc.).

If you watch Ultimate Factories, or a similar show, there is a LOT more human parts.

I received a e mail what to do and the link to open up , but it put me in MY BMW and then in the library that's were it is now , I say its the coolest thing it has some bugs like the windshield thing , but the rest its my car .
