I hadn't thought of that.
I was thinking of the m-sport spec. without sports suspension but with VDC.

Can you have M-sport with no sports suspension?
If I had know this, I might have delayed order!

I would be certain that only the Msport springs lower the car as that would be consistent across the rest of the range. So deleting them would provide standard ride height.

I asked in another thread, but forget where...
What is the silver plate in the foot well on the drivers site in the M-Sport models? (As pictured on the bmw.co.uk website, when configuring the car, viewing the cockpit view of the interior). Hopefully you can see in picture attached.. |

I have ordered m-sport without sport suspension = normal suspension. But I donīt think the sport suspension lower the car.

Sorry for my naivety, is the dead pedal, just to rest your weary foot on??
Personally, I don't like the look of it..

Yes, it is there to just rest your foot. I'm not sure if it is just screwed into the plastic dead pedal, but if it is - you may be able to take it off.

That photo highlights that thing being there. Normally you probably have to look to see it. If you don't like putting your left foot there and bracing, you're probably not driving fast enough!

An M Sport without sports suspension is currently appealing to me as it seems reasonable value within the BMW UK pricing system and on our local roads my fillings might not enjoy the stiffer dampers. It would be then in essence just a prettier SE with some toys. That said, although the tax group is the same surely they will try to put it in a higher insurance bracket to spoil our fun?

According to German pricelist, the M-tech suspension (whether ordered standalone or with M-tech pkg) does not lower the ride height when compared to standard suspension.
If u order VDC then it's the same as VDC=M-tech suspension but with adjustable damper settings. |
