Anyone compares both of them? I just need some opinion. My wife wants X3 but I want her to at least try other brand. We both don't like Merz GLK.

I hate local BMWs though. I guess we are both young married couple with baby don't fit into their client profile. Completely different experience with local Audi dealer. Although, few BMW dealers here are still great but longer drive ( 1 hour ).

Quite a few people have compared the Q5 to the X3 on this forum but you can't search on just "q5". However, if you type use google to search this forum like so

search x3.bimmers for q5 (google.com and search for "site:http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums q5")

you'll get lots of threads that compare the two, some better than others, e.g. http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showth...=468648&page=3

we test drove both (and the GLK)
i love the looks and interior of the Q5
but the X3 35i is much faster than the Q5 3.2
i had the 3.2 engine in my A5, not the nicest engine, sluggish off the line
other huge advatnage of the X3 is you order today you get it in 5-6 weeks
if you order a Q5 it takes 3 months! (since its shipped from europe)
X3 has more options, not available on the Q5 (mobile office, heads up display, etc)

they both ride the same, very well built
Q5 has the B&O sound system which whips any BMW stereo i have heard
X3 is bigger in the front than the Q5

you can take off about $3500 from MSRP on both
if the dealer says anything tell him i can get this price from AMEX
