As I remember on the E90/1/2/3 boards a long time ago, Topics were made based on the color of the car. So I suggest to make it again, and this would be the official topic for the X3 in the color Sparkling Bronze.
it is a X3 20d that is at the BMW dealer near my office. Here is another look from the Martha Stewart video |

That has a much redder hue than I expected. Is there something funky about the light that's making it appear that way?

Not keen on the colour in those photos, I would go seek out official samples at your dealer so not to be dissapointed (photos or print never quite capture true colours).

The color in those pix is way off. Much better than that.

regarding the color,
I took these pictures with my smartphone (std mode), and the weather was yesterday cloudy and very grey-ish. This explain why the color is not so bright as it is under the sun. |

I just saw an X1 in sparkling bronze in a car park. Grey skies today and it looked very much like the first set of photos, if not worse, and nothing like the photos of the X5 underneath. Perhaps the colour just changes a lot when it's in the sunlight but I suspect it's not the same colour. It looked pretty awful IMO and my wife said the same, but colour choice is very subjective.

The X1 also comes in a Marrakesh Brown color. Maybe that is what you saw?
The X5 pictures I posted are definitely Sparkling Bronze. The color does change based on lighting. My dealer has one in the showroom and it looks a different color at different times of the day, but never looks like the top picture in this thread. It was this X5 that we used to select Sparkling Bronze for the X3. If the X3 Sparkling Bronze is not the same, we'll be pretty pissed. It should be here next week. I'll take photos. |

I think the X5 looks great in the photos above in SB, I would just be concerned that it only looks like that in bright sunshine, especially living in the UK where we don't get a great deal of that! ![]() I hope it's as good as the SB in the X5 for you.

Still waiting... Was at the dealership last night to pick up our 2008 X3 from Service and the SB X5 was in the showroom. Confirmed our choice for me again. As long as the X3 SB is identical to the X5 SB, it should look good. If its a different color and anything like the one at the start of this thread, I will have to put some holes in a paper shopping bag.

![]() I think that SB or MB X1 that I saw belongs to someone who lives down the road from me. Only problem is that it never seems to be parked there during daylight hours. If I spot it at the weekend I'll take a picture. Failing that, I'll ring on his doorbell and ask him what colour it is ![]()
