WAY better than it used to be at my college. I'm pretty sure Speedtest.net isn't a bad site, I just wouldn't trust the services there.

Another site I've been recommended by tech support is www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

I never get the same results as speedtest.net. I just got 10.6 download / 5.03 upload.

Sometimes it feels like that, I bought a small farm in Southern MD on the Potomac river.There is no DSL,FIOS,Cable so my options are dial up, satellite, or air card. I have the Verizon Myfi 2000 but I found that tethering my Droid3 is faster, luckily it sees a tower across the river in Va.

i missed verizon FiOS.........

i moved and AT&T DSL was the only option......might as well get dial-up.

It takes like all night to download anything........"buffering" is the norm.
