First Photo's-BMW X4 M40i Spied Testing in USA-Series Production Confirmed
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Other M40i info and look posted earlier by BIMMERPOST: The upcoming X4 M40i has now been spotted without camouflage. While not a full blown M model, this X4 has been tweaked by BMW M just like the M135i, M235i, X5 M50d, and M550d "M Performance Automobiles." And like the other M Performance Automobiles, the X4 M40i will receive the full M Sport treatment (aero kit, wheels, brakes, interior) along with a sportier suspension and chassis. But, the X4 M40i is particularly important because our upcoming models info shows that it will be powered by a new reworked N55 3.0L turbo six engine (N55B30T0) producing around 370-380 PS (365-375 HP), which will also power the BMW M2 when it arrives in early 2016. The X4 M40i begins production December 2015.

Am I correct that X4s are rolling around the US as we 'speak'? I see an X4 almost everyday while commuting in the Bay Area... I never knew they existed until I saw it.

Call me crazy but I see no difference from X4 M-Sport in these pictures other than the dual sided exhaust. Front facia looks exactly the same to me.

You forgot to blur out the faces of the drivers in the sideview mirrors!

The dual-sided exhaust and what looks like some kind of plastic brow along the top of the front intakes are the only two differences I could spot too.

Seems cool, but the interior is gonna be a carry-over design from the X3 (like standard X4), which is basically 5 years old. Hard to get that excited about a "new" vehicle that is already going to look outdated inside, compared to newer designs like the F15, etc.

I think they should just skip this and straight to X4M.
