Hi all - I am picking up my 2016 x3 tomorrow and could not be happier. I was wondering, as I am staring down 70K miles, if there is any major upcoming service or maintenance that should be done to the vehicle. I am purchasing from a reputable BMW dealership, but its obviously out of warranty.

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Without knowing the history, at that mileage, it's due for these items:

• Spark Plugs
• Trans Fluid/Filter
• F&R Differential Fluid
• Transfer Case Fluid
• Brake Fluid Flush

Thanks so much for the information - doubt it will happen but will see if dealer would consider taking care of these items - if not, I'll incur the cost -

They will tell you the fluids are lifetime, don't believe it, the trans manufacturer recommends changing the fluid and filter at ~70k miles.

For at least this, there is a display in iDrive for service required that should show the next time to do this. At 3 years, then every 2 years after this.
