Sport activity vs M sport resale

So on nada guides it shows a 2011
With 10,000 miles is worth $1,300 more when it has the m sport package compared to sport activity package. Since the M Sport only costs $1250 more it seems like a smart option. But with the new 2012 pricing that means my build on a 35i is now up to $55225 which is $13k in options!

I agree that the M Sport package is a sound investment, providing you like the package. It will continue to distinguish the vehicle from the pack long term, and although it seems to us on this forum that there are a lot of M Sports out there, they will not be that abundant on the resale lots.
I feel your pain on the build price too... I was higher than that on the 2011. I negotiated a fair deal and paid less, but it is still pricey. But, unlike a house or a painting, you shouldn't buy a new car and spec it for resale.... get what you want. They all depreciate so much that it really doesn't matter.
