Actually 1 week but a couple of observations. The sound of the engine does not seem to change but the difference between a cold and hot engine is more than I have seen in any car before. After start, the first miles show about 25mpg but even at the same speed this climbs as soon as the engine warms to 35ish. With careful driving it goes up further to 38ish. This relates to a 20 mins trip with some good hills at 30 - 40mph. At traffic lights (5 sets!) the stop start works perfectly. Hope that helps a bit. Work prevented a longer, faster road trip yet. Oh and the surge of power continues to impress. Overtaking is just effortless and safe as your view is so elevated. Loving it!

Changing to normal tyres not only brings a massive improvement in handling (for 19" wheels they save almost 5kg a corner) but means the tyre can also be repaired as the side walls are not damaged when squashed. |

Ant Man - once the engine is warm lag is really not noticeable. Think the 8 gears react pretty fast plus all that torque. Tested it for you by blitzing a Honda (safely) that was doing 50 and passing after backing off was super safe. Not sure if the performance control is part of this but as it was 17C and sunny the tyres gripped like a limpet. Plus the commanding view helps safety.

An iPhone just stores them as jpg format so you should be able to copy from your iPhone to your PC and then upload them by clicking Manage Attachments. I've uploaded quite a few from my iPhone

You needed a PC (or Mac) when you first tried to use your iPhone as well.
You can't use an iPhone without first registering it with iTunes on a PC/Mac. Perhaps you could use the same one as you used then? OFF TOPIC: I find it hard to believe people could operate without a PC or Mac in their house these days. I have over six in my house right now (of various ages and states of dissuse), not counting the two really crap ones that I leave in the kids tree house for them to play with Certainly the iPhone app is next to useless for anything but reading posts on this forum. a) it wont let you add a photo b) you cant type a plus sign c) you cant edit or delete a post d) you cant zoom on embedded pictures e) you cant browse the emoticons f) etc...

My 550i M Sport starts at 15MPG and climbs to 26MPG after 6 miles, then it's warmed up and goes up to 27/28MPG with normal driving.

I picked this up today.
It cames with Pirelli P-Zero's, seems like they are good! http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article...-Tyre-Test.htm It came with 8 miles on the clock, It now has 223miles. Coming from a 335i Vert I was sure how I'd feel about the performance. Without going mad with it yet, I'm very pleased with the performance. I don't at all feel bad about not getting the 35D with 12.5% more torque. Servotronic steering is quite a bit better than the test car I drove without it. Sports suspension is great, I like a firm ride - it's nicely taught without being harsh. It doesn't roll either. Economy so far from zero miles is 36 mpg (imperial). The 1st half of my journey was more like 33, the 2nd part saw a big improvement. Very, very pleased so far.

The steering isn't as good as my E93 but it's quite close or at least closer to the E93 than it is to the X3 SE without VSS that I test drove. Overall I'm happy with the steering, I can feel where the wheels are if I push round a corner.

Do other UK X3s have the US spec yellow ans white safety notice on both sides of the passenger sun visor? It's really ugly and I"m sure it's not required in the UK.

Thanks....sounds like I have a non-uk spec visor. I'll see what the dealer says....I should be able to get a UK one, with some argument.
