Picking up new X3 tomorrow – what niggles to check

Hi

I pick up a new X3 (SE 3.0d) tomorrow – what niggles/irritations do I need to check before driving off.

So far I think I need to check trim alignment around windows (wind noise issues), tailgate/load bay cover that may cause noises.

Anything else?

Answers to what I expect your next questions are – Titanium Silver, Black Leather, Electric and heated front seats, Xenons, DAB, Bluetooth hands free/USB (replacing a similar X3 E83)

Question about DAB radio – does it do traffic reports/interruptions like (or via) FM does?

With DAB you do get traffic reports but DAB isn't great yet. I keep losing single when I move out of an area like am of old used to do.

Enjoy the car, I love mine

thank you

I am hoping that the DAB signal is OK on my journey to work (looks like transfer from repeater to main transmitter), but even if it isn't car should be much better with USB than the mpeg CD player I currently have - anything is better than certain DJs or the adverts (they all seem so cringe worthy now)

Congrats on the new car! No comments about niggles to look for as I don't have one (yet).

Picked mine up yesterday, DAB is fine, trim alignment is fine, the only niggle is that the voice control on the steering wheel doesn't seem to do anything !
I will call the dealer tmrw to ask why. Otherwise no probs. Enjoy.

Forums are great, but reading them can leave you with a slight paranoia - but it does help to know what simple things to check for the know niggles. However current car has been problem free, I expect the new one will be similar (dealer is very close to work if not)

The first thing I checked was the trim allignment due to reading the forum, but the car is very quiet and so smooth as I specced the VDC. The only thing I'm unsure about is the steering is very light and doesnt give a lot of feedback, but as I'm used to a golf gti, maybe I'm being over critical.

I have the DAB radio. - Works well and yes it does do the TP option.

Good luck - MY X3 pickup was fine, no niggles after 4000miles...
