Disappearing presets/general memory settings and slow and “confused” Nav
Has anyone else experience these issues?
- After my X3 sat for about 3 days all the radio presets and memory settings disappeared. If I don’t use one of the homelink memory buttons for an extended period, that specific memory location is erased. - Radio presets disappear after sitting overnight, but reappear after switching between various functions – radio to CD or radio to Nav. - If Nav is my default screen – after sitting overnight I get a spinning wheel with a message that Navigation is loading. This can take a few minutes. BTW – the DVD based nav in my prior E53 X5 was instantaneous. - “Confused” navigation. Yesterday I started guidance on a major road. The nav showed my position in a grassy area adjacent to the major road. The nav arrow kept spinning around and the nav voice kept giving the command to follow the highlighted route. My E53 X5 did this frequently as well. I had to live with this because my dealer could not find an error. Last edited by ChitownX; 06-06-2011 at 12:38 PM.. |

Nope, I haven’t seen any of those issues.
Sometimes the nav does have to boot up, but it doesn’t take minutes for it to do so. By the time I back out of my garage and put it in Drive the Nav is loaded up. I consider that to be normal and not a problem. I do find the maps way out of date. My 3 year old Garmin maps and Google are more accurate. |
