Overall leather seats quality...

Just wanted to ask other owners' opinions on overall leather seats quality in their cars.
How are the seats (form, color, scratches, etc) in long term? Any warranty issues with leather itself?

Also, which products do you use to clean/preserve seats?

Cheers

Passt alles. No issues - so far. Leather is somewhat more rustic than, say a Lexus, but it's an SUV/SAV so it's ok. No wrinkles, no creases. For interior cleaning I go here http://www.cleancar.de/ once a month and have it done by hand. One case of really bad dirt (a friend's dog) I had done by these guys http://www.ledermanufaktur.com/
Too early to say anything about UV resistance and how well it hold the color. But as said, it's pretty robust and should age fairly well.

One of my seats is saggy with light use from a light passenger. The base cover was replaced but is no better. The leather isn't as good as my previous BMs.

Can you claim anything under warranty?
For example, I have a tiny scratch (1,5 mm in length) on a passenger seat, showed it to the dealer and he said that if the scratch gets any bigger, they would just replace the seat under warranty...

Previously, I had a MB with leather seats - never had a problem...

So far the leather in this X3 is wearing Bette than that in my previous 330i. I've applied Zaino leather conditioner once in 14 months of ownership. About to clean an condition again. No sagging or unusual creasing so far.

The leather is retaining it's shape/form/fit fine so far (I've had the X3 since Dec. '11). We use the car almost on a daily basis to make quick trips to the market. However, I noticed the driver's seat is getting discolored on the left side around where your left thigh would be. The interior is beige in color, and the leather is now turning a bit blue. Would denim rub off and discolor the leather this easily?

Yes it would...seen that happen a lot in light colored leather interiors. Clean it off with a good leather cleaner and then apply some conditioner and it should be fine.
