Car Ready but can't have for another month!

X3 ordered Sat 8/27 at dealer, PCD confirmed for Oct 5th via email last Thursday. Today I log onto BMW's site to see how production is going / scheduled etc... and find it's already done! Watched the vid (which I thought they were going to email to you) and yup car built and ready. WTF!?!? So not fair I have to wait a month! (and to think I posted earlier today about second guessing my interior color)....

makes me glad i skipped PCD (just don't have the time right now since i got back from another trip) my car was released to carrier today, and the video has been online since yesterday. i hope to be taking it home monday or tues next week (perhaps sat but thats a long shot)

i really want to do PCD - maybe next time

Look at it this way, if you cancel now, it might still take two weeks to get your car. So really you only have to wait an extra two weeks to get it by going PDC, but I feel your pain. I ordered a 2012 and asked for PDC a well. At the moment I only have a dealer's best guess that I might get it by the end of October.

Interesting that I now wish I had done the PCD, as I think it would have been a great experience. I was so hyped up after ordering that the wait seemed never-ending. That anticipation was electric and wish I had appreciated it more. Enjoy the wait if you can - and the PCD and your new ride!
