Coolant Issue?

I got the low coolant level light a few months ago so i topped up about half a reservoir which was weird...
well it appeared twice since then as well and i have gone through a whole bottle now (wasn't a big bottle).

Anyone have this issue before?
I don't see a leak anywhere though ....

Look for a leak in the coolant expansion tank. A coolant expansion tank with a minor leak has been a problem for a number of people.

Next service your tech can probably let you know if there are drips anywhere underneath the car .. you probably won't see much now as it's all covered up by the underbody panels.

Mind you, we did lose some fluid on our N20 as well in the first year of ownership which they assured me was "evaporation" no other explanation and no leaks found anywhere.

^this. Had my 2012 X3 in and they replaced the expansion tank and cap. I thought it was the cap but they said it was 'both'. Fortunately it was covered under the CPO at the time.

i've had to add a small amount of coolant twice in my 2015. Nov 2016, light came on and the dealer added an unknown small amount. Light came on in January this year, and I added a quart. No observed drop since then.

Both times light came on car was parked in a hotel parking lot on a cold night.
