Looks nice.

So, the rear X3 and the front door badges were removed? Any difficulty?

Click, click, click... save.

Thanks for the pics, love the "clean" look from de-badging.

It is a no cost option on any BMW.

I removed the front xdrive badge that was on the front doors. It was a breeze to remove. All you need is a heat gun, 30 lbs fishing wire, adhesive remover, towel and a microfiber towel.

I only had to heat up the badge for about 15 seconds and it all came off fairly easily. Throw some wax on the area you worked on afterwards since the adhesive remover will leave the area exposed to the elements.

My x3 (delivered October 14) came without the x3 badge at the back. I definitely didn't request for it to be removed but I didn't care enough to phone my dealer!

I really don't understand what's the point of getting a car without the X3 badges.
I don't mind that people see I am driving an X3. What is wrong about that ?
But if you want the car without it, I would remove them afterwards, so that you still have the badges when you sell the car later.

If you would have a Chrysler Neon , I could understand removing the badges.

Now that I can agree with. The other reason is where people have say a 318d and by removing the badge they are trying to kid others that they have a 330d or similar. They only kid themselves because savvy owners can tell by the single exhaust pipe.

I heard a long time ago, though could be nonsense, that in the UK mostly smaller engines have the badges removed to pretend you have a bigger car whilst in Germany the opposite is true in that generally large engined cars are debadged.

I have always debadged my BMW's. 330 and M3. Though the quad pipes and huge wheels were a bit of a give away on the latter. I think it looks cleaner without and informed drivers always know anyway while others can be left with guessing.

Well, I live in BMW Land (Oxford) in the UK. Very near to the BMW mini factory with 4 people having 320d F30's in my village alone. BMWs are literally everywhere because they are cheaper through these families. Many drive with lower value 318ds and 320ds, some sporting M badges and twin exhausts. It is the Chav approach to cars.

Personally, I'm not trying to hide, or deceive. I just think it looks nicer without. Less is more, cleaner look. My 550i is de-badged, and soon our X3 3.5 will be too

I went with debadged due to the clean and unfussy look, particularly the rear view.
