Tire and Wheel Warranty for M Sport X3 35i

The 5 yr tire and wheel replacement warranty attached with my X3 35i MSport is approximately $1800. Is it worth keeping it? How much does the 19' replacement tires and wheels cost? Thanks in advance.

I didn't do the warranty. That is completely up to you, but you would have to have 4 blow-outs in that time for this to make financial senseI think the tires are around $450/ea. In 20 years of driving I've only had one flat tire, so the odds are not with you (or they wouldn't be trying to sell you this).

They'll try to tell you that the low profile 19's will be more apt to blow on a pothole, etc., but don't believe the hype.

When it's all said and done and you still feel like this is a good option for you, then be sure to talk them down on the price of the warranty. This figure IS negotiable down to about $1200 - $1300.

I've had 4 slow leaks (usually due to nails) and one bubbled tire in 3 years of (admittedly hard) driving so it really depends. But, $450-500 per tire is about right in most places.
