Ordering 3.0d but which wheels?

About to order a 3.0d but can't decide on which wheels. UK roads are poor and would only order M Sport if I deleted sports suspension but that kind of devalues M sport package? Standard wheels are 17 inch and non run flat so ride should be good but they dont really fill the wheel arch. I am not ordering VDC. Any advice welcome please

18 is still very comfortable even with RFT tires.

To be honest none of the wheels really fill the arches (effect seems to be magnified on M Sport models). For that reason I went with the standard 17"s as I actually think they look ok and suit the car and look better than some of the 18" designs available. The fact they are non RFT is a major bonus for me too.

I'm very pleased with Sport sus and 18's, 17 would be fine too.

What about the cost? If funds are unlimited fair enough, but BMW OEM wheels/options are the most expensive on the market. I have bought some 18's from CMS, the model I bought is http://www.cmswheels.de/de/produkte/C18DMB

My 2 cents:
Get the 309s and the sports suspension. Its not harsh and your car will look ad drive great. Or, just get the 309s and keep the normal suspension.

You say you don't want the VDC pkg, but bloody hell, you only live once and the X3 is not a cheap car to begin with. So, if you were considering the M Sport drop it, and spend the money on the VDC.You'll get the best of all worlds.
