Start Stop feature in US Market

Is the automatic engine Start/Stop feature available for US models of the new X3?

i don't think we have that in the U.S. At least mine hasn't stop/started since I picked it up three weeks ago. or is there something I have to do to activate it? I'm not sure I'd want it actually - my friend has it on her Panamera and it drives me kind of nuts!

or do you mean that feature where when you are in traffic you don't have to hold your foot on the brake?

NOT standard. Euro-spec, the engine will actually shut off when you come to a complete stop, and then start instantaneously with the lightest tap of the throttle. In the USA, with the auto-hold function (std.) on--you can turn it off--the car will apply the parking brake after coming to a complete stop until you hit the gas again, disengaging the parking brake.

My mistake. I was thinking of keyless start stop button. Sorry!
