The S gives me more performance than I have now. Fills many voids that I have had with X3 and there is nothing to speak of on the horizon that will compete with the Macan from BMW. Not even any performance upgrades that are appealing.
Thank you very much!

All focus is on M's, etc.
That's pretty quick- though I'm sure it'll feel like forever.

I hear you on the X3 lacking a real performance model. With the success of the M235i and the impending (Frankfurt/September) release of the X5/X6M I do think that something like an MX3 35i/MX4 35i (hopefully they do a better job naming than I just did) could be a possibility. At bare minimum, I would expect an MPPK and a few M-Performance parts (as others have eluded to).

Still, definitely not Macan caliber. Then again, for $75k you can also get a reasonably well equipped X5 5.0i or for a $5k more an RRS V8.

If they had something in the pipeline of upgrades or X3M I would be in. I love the brand and model. Just want more thrill!!! Thank you very much!

You know... that D3 looks fantastic (and usually dislike Alpina's styling). Anyone know where to wrangle Alpina parts? I bet a lot of folks would be interested in these grill accents:

I could go with Turbo for about $82k with the equipment I want. A lot of the options I want on S are standard. I'm tempted to wait longer for the sport exhaust option that would add probably another $3k.
You could get a lightly driven 2013 Cayenne GTS for that money. Don't get me wrong the Macan is nice and all, but once you breach the "70k" mark one starts questioning the value. I would also consider a nicely loaded F15 X5 50i for around the same as well. jMHO

I was damn close to $70K (taxes in) on my lightly optioned X3... I didn't even get leather seats. DOH

I see you got the Macan on the other forum, don't forget to post your comparative review here.
