...less of a drivers car and more of a status purchase, especially if it is de-badged

I ordered one of these, getting it in a good 4 weeks time. as it is a company car we are limited to a certain budget and CO2 emission norms.
I looked at the Audi A4 Avant (my current car), the Audi Q5 2.0Tdi front wheel drive, the new BMW 320d touring and this one.
In the end it was a difficult decision between the 320d touring and the X3 sDrive18d. I went for the X3 as it offers more space. I know the 320d will be more fun to drive but the bigger trunk was more important to me.

perfomances are better than the Q5 and my current A4 Avant so it will be an improvement to what I am used to.

And it will not be de-badged, sDrive18d will be on the car

This is probably a matter of different cultures. My BMW's have always been de-badged...

... regardless of the type of engine?

For me, its not an important question, de-badge or not de-badge.

Now im driving an X1 xdrive20d automatic. But from this moment im going to need more space and not going to need the xdrive, the 177HP or the automatic option.

With this arguments im thinking in this car

Sure; otherwise it would be a bit silly, no? I cannot imagine driving around with a "3.0" badge on the back of my E36/8.
