Different Gearshift Knobs?
Small thing I noticed on the bmwusa website: When you change the build from a non-Sport Activity Package to a car WITH the Sport Activity Package the gearshift knob/control/joystick changes ever so slightly to something completely different.
To those with cars with and without the Sports Activity Package, is the bmwusa.com website accurate and are there different gearshift knobs? Thanks in advance on this small matter. Last edited by bluesmachine; 04-06-2011 at 05:56 PM.. |

The sap gearshifts shape resembles that of a conventional gear shift more. It is also leather wrapped at the base.
One question is that BMW calls this a sports automatic. Is the transmission actually faster than the standard one or what are the technical differences? thx. |

If you order SAP on a 35i, you get Performance Control switch next to the selector that allows you to switch between normal, sport and sport plus. This isn't an option on the 28i.
